How to Extract RAR Files on a Mac

Before you begin download and install StuffIt Expander.

1. Open StuffIt Expander and drag the RAR file to the Expander icon.


The RAR archive will automatically extract to the location where the original RAR file is located.

You can also use the File menu on the application window to open compressed files and to specify a location for the extracted files.
