How to Create A Picture Slideshow for Your Website

View Tutorial I ran into this very neat Power Toy (Slide Show Wizard) offered by Microsoft. It allows you to create an HTML slideshow of a group of pictures that you can later upload to your server so that friends and family can view it. Alternately you can keep it on your computer and run the slideshow from your Slideshow folder. Below you will find instructions on how to create a picture slideshow using Microsoft’s Slide Show Wizard enable/disable the sound icon from your taskbar. You can also view the PDF by clicking on the PDF tutorial icon. As always comments/suggestions are always welcome.

Download Slide Show Wizard (via Microsoft): http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/HTMLSlideShowSetup.exe

1. Click Start > Program Files > Powertoys for Windows XP > Slide Show Wizard

2. A Wizard will open, click Next

3. To select the pictures for your slideshow click Add Folder/Image. A box will open Navigate to the pictures you wish to use click OK. The pictures will load on the screen, click Next.

4. Select any options you wish to use click Next

5. Slide show wizard processes your pictures.

6. When complete you can click the View the slide show now button and the slideshow will open.

7. In this case firefox opened with My Slide Show’s Home page, click here to view the slideshow.

8. You can navigate the pictures by using the arrows on the top right corners.

9. Once done you can either upload the files to your web server or view them from your computer.
