How to Delete Your Browser History


View Tutorial (click on the individual tutorial titles below) If you share your computer without creating seperate accounts chances are all of your browser history is accesible to anyone who uses that computer. If you’d like to keep that data private you can create seperate accounts for each of the computers users or you can periodically clear all of you browsing history. Below you will find the steps necessary to delete your computers browsing history with Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 and Firefox 1.5.0.4 (as you will notice settings between versions are very similar). I will show you how to delete the history folders as well as the cookies which may contain information about your whereabouts. Follow the steps below to delete your browsing history. As always comments/questions are always welcome.

*Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser (Example used was Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3)

1. With IE7 Beta 3 open click on Tools > Delete Browsing History…

2. A dialog box will open allowing you to select which items you wish to delete. Click on the items you wish to delete or you can delete them all by clicking on Delete All…

3. When complete click Close

*Mozilla Firefox (Example used was Firefox 1.5.0.4)

1. With Firefox open click on Tools > Clear Private Data…

2. A dialog box will open allowing you to select which items you wish to delete. Select those items and click Clear Private Data Now
