Pull Google Places Reviews to Your Site for More Exposure

Your reviews on different Google Places can now seem more important with the ability to share your reviews with others. Now you can share every place that you’ve reviewed with friends, family and strangers. By simply going to your Google Places account and clicking on your picture you will be able to access an Atom feed of your reviews, which you’ll find at the bottom of that page. The feed is only visible to you, unless you share it with others, so you don’t have to worry about someone accessing your reviews and ratings without your consent.

Additionally you can now enter any GeoRSS/Atom feeds of that contain place information into the Google Place search box to help you find places to review that you have enjoyed in the past.  It might not be a perfect search, but Google will do its best to find the places that have a local relation to your feeds.

  • This hadn’t even crossed my mind. Good idea I’ll try doing it tonight. If I get stuck I’ll post later. Cheers chaps
