Just when Microsoft is starting to get Vista right, they announce the upcoming release of their next operating system. Microsoft is speculated to launch Windows 7, their new operating system sometime in 2010. The new operating system is expected to sport the enhancements that were slated for Vista but never made it to production, among those features is the ability to format a drive using WINFS, the inclusion of a dock (similar to macs), and many other features that were left out.

I found that Google kept the experimental features available, most folks don't venture that far into Picasa so I decided to post these 'Obscure' experimental features that are available to you. The moment I sat in front of a computer I was hooked. I've always like to tinker with computer innards and all the software I could get my hands on. Among family and friends I became known as the "computer genius" and the "computer whiz," titles which I consider to exaggerate my knowledge of computers. I consider myself someone who knows enough and is always willing to learn something new. After reading this great article over at lifehacker I was amazed at the number of programs available to rip/encocode/decode/burn DVD's. I have decided to piggy back off the comments from the lifehacker article and post a list of programs to rip/encode/decode/burn DVD's so that you don't have to hunt for them on the internet. I will try to bunch them accoring to their function (decoder/burner, etc).

Why Use YouTube When There Are Better Ways to Watch & Download Videos Online?

Well I don't mean ditch YouTube, just use another way of viewing what's on YouTube. iDesktop.tv was designed around the idea of providing users an easy way to watch, search, and even save YouTube videos from their browser. iDesktop is like a Picasa for videos online, it even has the zoom slider, one of my favorite Picasa features (you can change the size of the thumbnails by moving the slider).

So you don't want to spend the big bucks to buy a suite like Photoshop to edit pictures, are you're sick of Microsoft Paint and other basic photo editors?
