windows XP tweaks

Shalom Gil, Thank you for these wonderful and easy guides ,and for detailing them so well that computer idiots like me can still do all this heavy duty stuff.
I have followed all the tweaks suggested by you in your OPTIMIZE WINDOWS section , i have had some problems and have some questions with regards to the tweaks
1.i use Zone ALarm internet security suite , when i log off or turn my computer off , i get a window saying (Zclient or zone alarm is not responding , end now ) this has only started to happen after these tweaks , i dont know which of the tweaks has caused this , i have done them all from your optimize windows section.

2 . I Downloaded a few software suggested by you to optimize windows , they are
1 CC Cleaner
2 TCPOptimizer
3 exctrlst setup
4 bootvis
Can i remove these programs FROM ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS after using them as you had recommended they be used or do i have to keep them for good on my computer.
I ask this question as i understand having too much software slows the comp down.

Printer Anywhere (Beta) Free Download

PrinterAnywhere has just come out with a no-brainer of a product that I think will turn out to be quite useful, and best of

all, it’s free! PrinterAnywhere lets you share your printer with someone else, or vice versa across the internet! Instead of

sending someone an attachment of a contract, just print it directly to their printer. You won’t have to worry about people

not being able to open files that you send them, all you’ve got to do is set the connection up (takes less than a minute) and

print from whatever program you created it in, to their printer. Excellent. If you’ve got an internet connection, a printer

Reporting faults to Microsoft

I wondered if anyone could show me how to turn of the feature in XP where, when a program stops responding, a dialogue box pops up asking if you wish to make a report to Microsoft.

I tend to run one of my computers to the edge, trying new stuff, and this happens frequently. I don't mind reporting stuff but it gets to be a pain when it happens several times each session.

How to open new Windows explorer window

I use My Computer to manage files on my XP computers. With the "open each folder in the same window" setting (my preference), is there a way to open a new window (without returning to My Computer in the Start menu)? The preferred approach would be a keyboard shortcut.

What I seek is the equivalent of CTRL-N in Internet Explorer which opens a new window.

how do you show the blue bar to the right?

I was hoping you could show me how to enable the blue bar that appears to the right whenever you open my computer or my documents, i used to have it but it somehow disappeared.thx
