Thinking About Switching to Verizon’s iPhone? Think Again

Everybody’s jumping up and down at the eventual availability of the iPhone 4 on Verizon come February 3rd (pre-order date), however before you get all excited about the potential of leaving AT&T’s “remarkable” network you may want to consider whether or not the switching costs are really worth it.

The popular WolframAlpha, a site where all kinds of information can be calculated and discovered has released a widget that will help you determine the true cost of switching from an AT&T iPhone to a Verizon iPhone. I ran my scenario, purchased the iPhone in June 2010 and renewed after June 1st. The total cost is $255, I think I’ll hang on to AT&T a little longer, how about you?
