Customize Your Outlook 2007 Calendars with Calendar Printing Assistant

Microsoft just released a nifty add-on/program for us Outlook 2007 users. The new Calendar Printing Assistant for Outlook 2007 add-on allows Outlook users to print different styles of calendars previously unavailable in default Outlook installations.

The program expands on Outlooks current styles offered by allowing the user to design the calendar, add pictures, and expand on the options available to display your calendar information. For those of you who use the Franklin Covey Planning system there are several templates which resemble the look and feel of the Franklin Covey planner, so I strongly urge you to look over these templates if you’re willing to switch.

You can print and compare calendars in a variety of views:

  • Calendars for any time frame. Use day, week, month, and year templates to print your calendar data. Apply the template you want depending on your needs, whether that means keeping current from day to day or making long-term plans.
  • Print multiple calendars in one view. The Calendar Printing Assistant gives you the flexibility to print multiple Office Outlook 2007 calendars in either overlay or side-by-side views. These views can help you easily compare your calendar to the calendar of a coworker or a team.
  • Ensure professional quality. The Calendar Printing Assistant can help you produce and print designer-quality Office Outlook 2007 calendars simply, without special experience or complicated tools.

I have downloaded Calendar assistant but cannot get it to print to multiple network printers. I allows me to pick a printer, but it always prints to my default printer.

Also, I cannot format the page to print side-by-side Franklin Covey Classic size monthly calendars. Any idea how to do this?

  2. @Lee: I’m still looking into this…in the meantime read this KB from Microsoft, as soon as I find something I’ll post it here and email you. Thanks for your patience. If you have found a solution please post it here. Thanks.

I would like to be able to print the calendar: on one page, letter size, landscape. As it is now, it sends one piece of information on to the second page. And, have the date number appear in the top left corner of each date (rather than as a large watermark on each day of the month. Any help will be appreciated.

For some reason all my calendar entries show up on the calendar in duplicate. Fro instance, if I enter an appt for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday Sept 22, it shows up on the calendar twice. How can I stop this?

did you ever figure out how to print it in franklin covey classic size??

  6. lee says:

It has been frustrating dealing with this change. It will print in classic size, however I have been unable to print the month with the first column starting with Monday and the last column split between Saturday and Sunday. As a result, it does not print the time of the appointment or I must print it a a 2pt. font that I cannot read.
