    Try this,
If you don’t want it show the autofill pop up URL, firstly, you have to delete that undesired URLs from your bookmark, then go to setting/ Safari/ clear history/cookie/cache.

    • That will work, but he’s asking if he can select specific URL’s to delete
      from the iPad’s history…which he can’t.

That’s pretty obvious …. But the important question is how to delete only some of the links … Like delete the facebook history and not google research… Obviously in my case there would be something more intense and explicit than facebook

    • Unfortunately you cannot specify which items to delete from your iPads history. Try using the opera browser which I believe provides more control of what you can download. Let me know if you have any more questions.

It still dosent delete it when you start typing it in.

Does not work. Oh, it says it does, and the entries are not listed, but even if you close the browser and completely shut down the iPad, the next time you open Safari, the back button will be available and will take you back to the history of sites visited. So, they are still there. So, like many things in Apple, you are not allowed to do what you want (for your own good of course).

    • If you close all Safari tabs, it shouldn’t allow you to hit the Back button.
Let me know if that works, after deleting the history of course.

Thanks! What if want to delete only some history? Can that be done? Thanks!

    • Nope, just tried it and there’s no way to delete specific items. Maybe we’ll see something like this in a future update.
